puppy purchased from us will receive an A.K.C. Limited Registration
(except those placed in show homes that will be shown). Limited
Registration Means that the dog is registered but no litters produced by
that dog are eligible for registration. Each registration
certificate for such dog shall carry notice of the limitation, and the
limitation shall continue, regardless of any change of ownership, unless
and until the owner(s) of the litter at birth shall apply to A.K.C. for
removal of the limitation. A dog registered with an A.K.C. limited
Registration shall be ineligible to be entered in a breed competition in
a licensed or member dog show. It is eligible, however, to be
entered in any other licensed or member event. These events
include: Obedience, Tracking, Field Trials, Hunting Tests,
Herding, Lure Coursing, Agility and Earthdog.

You have
purchased a purebred Shetland Sheepdog.This puppy is eligible to be registered by the American Kennel Club
(A.K.C.).This Sheltie is
sold strictly as a companion and is not considered show or
breeding quality.He/she is
guaranteed to be free of current health problems at the time of sale and
any major genetic defects proven to be hereditary for the
first year of life.Major
genetic defects meaning, a defect that would render this puppy
unsuitable as a companion.
It is strongly recommended that you have this Sheltie checked by
your own vet within 72 hours of purchase.If, within that time, your vet determines that this puppy is
seriously ill, you may have the puppy replaced as soon as one of
comparable quality and price is available.Written proof of disease or defect MUST be sent from
your vet to me and I reserve the right to get a second vet's opinion at my
expense regarding the problem.The original puppy MUST be returned to me.Health problems shall NOT include mild parasitic
infestation or evidence of neglect or abuse on your part.You agree to pay any difference in price on a replacement puppy
from me.Failure to comply
with this “72 hour” vet exam shall make the "time of
sale" health guarantee null and void.
The buyer agrees not to use this
Sheltie for breeding.Spay/neutering
of this Sheltie is required and is to be completed by the age of six
months or on or before ________(date).Should you breed this sheltie, there will be a breach of
contract penalty fee imposed of $5,000.00.A.K.C. papers will be given on a “limited registration”
basis, meaning that any offspring from this Sheltie will not be
registerable with the A.K.C.Limited
registration also means that this sheltie will be eligible to compete in
A.K.C. obedience/performance or herding events, but ineligible to compete
in conformation (breed competition) events.
You agree that, should your personal circumstances change, forcing
you to have to give up your sheltie, that you will contact me first
prior to placing he/she in any type of shelter or rescue organization.
